I love my family but struggle to find that perfect synchronicity that creates word count.
I have to say early in August I was finding my feet I was working on two novella/short story length projects that I have deadlines for...
So, I'm giving myself a bit of slack for the past several months. I mean, the memories made with my daughter can't be replaced and I'm so glad I had the chance to spend time with her. She is a Senior in high school this year and those moments are becoming scarce. Soon I'll only be receiving phone calls from college when she needs money or visits when she needs laundry done. Each day is another chance to work on my books and to be in my families lives. And, as it should be, I will always choose family over writing. That is one of the big reasons I self-publish -- I don't have to worry about deadlines and if my publisher will be angry at me for not making them.
As for my laptop, no worries the hard drive survived its dive to the floor. I have it hooked up to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse now so that I can keep working. So grateful that I didn't loose it, because I'm a bad techy person and it hasn't bee backed up in a while. Mr. Reuel plans to fix that this weekend though.
So, here I go back to the writing cave, let's pray nothing requires my attention for at least a little while. :D
Wishing you all the best.
