Covet is about a Vampire, Javier, and a human Lilah. For two years they have been eying each other from a distance. The attraction distracting them while they performed their day to day duties at the theater. Unfortunately, Lilah belongs to another Vampire and Javier can't make good on his desires or it would mean his and possibly her death. With this roadblock, will they be able to find a way to be together?
This was a great introductory story to the Vampire Erotic Theatre world. It introduces us to the Heaton's version of the vampire world, to the theater, and to many of the characters in the series. In this first installment I really started to understand the allure of Snow!
This book contains some pretty hot sex scenes, so it's not for the faint of heart, but it also has the love story that is so important in the books I like to read. My only real criticism is that it could have been longer and gave a bit more action surrounding the dynamic of the couple vs Lilah's Vampire owner. I felt like the story surrounding that dynamic wrapped up a bit to quick and tidy for me.
I definitely recommend this book, especially since I immediately bought the second book in the series and read it.
