If you have read the Big Bad Wolf series and the first two books in The Kings series (a spinoff of the Big Bad Wolf series), you most likely have went through many emotions in regards to Jason Alberich. He is the bad guy you love to hate and now he is the hero you want to be with.
In the Warlock King, HKW continues to build a multifaceted character that you may not have been prepared to love, but can't help but root for as Jason patiently tries to win his Queen. She shares so much of Jason's character that we haven't been able to see before now, as we see him through the eyes of his Queen.
Chloe Septeran is tired and weak, but not ready to die. She has ran since she could remember, not wanting to be dependent on a Warlock to provide her with sustenance and power. So, when she sees Jason, she runs as she always has, but she can't forget the handsome Warlock King or the feel of his power. As the new evil shows itself and works to steal all of the queens, Jason's only concern is to keep Chloe safe. Will Chloe and Jason learn to trust each other before it's too late?
HKW is one of my favorite authors. She writes in many genres, but her books always have one thing in common, amazing worlds created with in depth description! I love her writing style and character development. The Warlock King is no exception. It snagged my interest from word one, page one and kept me flipping the pages until the very end.
